POKER DEALERS

The primary responsibility of the Poker Dealer is to protect the integrity of the game being dealt. All duties are to be performed in accordance with mintpoker policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Deal live poker games and poker tournaments.
  • Proactively greet, interact and assist staff in a professional manner to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious work environment.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly and courteous atmosphere that provides guests with an exceptional gaming experience and ensures efficient operations.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math.
  • Maintain the integrity of the game by remaining attentive and monitoring the moves of all players.
  • Understand the rules and procedures of all poker games offered.
  • Maintain the speed of the games by continually moving the action as necessary.
  • Recall and repeat betting rounds.
  • Assist in all areas of the poker room and perform table fills.
  • Notify supervisor/manager of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely and responsible manner.
  • Perform all other job related duties as requested.

Required:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working in a casino poker room setting.

POKER FLOOR SUPERVISOR / TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR

The Poker Floor Supervisor is directly responsible for the daily operation of all Poker Department functions. Administers the operation of the Poker Department through the delegation of departmental duties to the Poker Room Dealers and Poker Cashiers; ensuring the highest quality customer service exists, while ensuring game security and compliance with all policies and procedures. Poker Floor Supervisors are required to have Poker Dealing experience.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Provides guests with an enjoyable and entertaining atmosphere by welcoming and greeting guests in a friendly and courteous manner, providing guests with assistance and information as needed, and thanking guests for playing.
• Seats customers on available Poker table and lets the Dealer know that there is a new player.
• Directs and runs the poker dealer rotation.
• Decides the mix and spread of the poker games.
• Controls the lists and seating for the games in progress.
• Oversees the banking functions involved in the running of a shift.
• Makes necessary decisions at poker games based on rules.
• Oversee the revenue procedures for the shift.
• Oversees the over-all cleanliness of the poker area.
• Handles any customer concerns when necessary.
• Fills out appropriate paperwork.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Maintains security of all Poker games, monies and personnel.
• Remains alert to any unusual or questionable activity by Poker employees or gaming customers and takes appropriate action to correct the situation within established policies and procedures.
• Maintains close ties with targeted guests through personal contact by phone and in person.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep department organized and communicate the structure of your area- including goals, role clarification, expectations, etc.
• Delegates’ responsibilities to the poker dealing staff.
• Recommends measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase quality and enhance job safety.
• Represents the Poker Department when dealing with other departments during the course of a shift.


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


• Bachelor’s or related degree preferred.
• 5 years casino or management experience; Poker Room experience preferred.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.

• Poker dealing skills are required.






POKER ROOM CASHIER

  • Proactively greet, interact, and assist staff in a professional manner to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious work environment.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly and courteous atmosphere that provides guests with an exceptional gaming experience and ensures efficient operations.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math.
  • Notify supervisor/manager of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely and responsible manner.
  • Perform all other job related duties as requested.
  • Poker Cage Cashiers are responsible for providing excellent guest service.
  • Accurate performance of monetary transactions with guests and other employees.
  • Perform Chip Cash-in/Cash-out Transactions, Chip Bank Transactions, Poker Transactions, Cage Credit Transactions, Time Tracking / Seat Rental Transactions and Chip Set-up for Tournaments and Special Events.

Required:

  • Ability to use office equipment, input information into computer applications accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Previous casino cage experience.
  • Previous experience working in a hospitality setting.

SECURITY - DOORMAN

The Security/Doorman is responsible for safeguarding company property, providing crowd control, and diffusing potentially hostile situations while providing superior guest service. All duties and assignments are to be performed according to departmental and mintpoker company policy and procedures.

• Manage large crowds in a private club environment

• Be observant of possible criminal activities, advising management and/or local law enforcement

• Ensure property identification and age verification of members and guests in restricted areas

• Work and communicate clearly with staff in multiple departments

• Troubleshoot potential problems, seeking resolution discreetly and professionally

• Flexibility to perform other job related tasks as deemed necessary by management

• Adhere to and enforce company specific safety policies

• Safe guard company property

Job Requirements:

• Ability to communicate in English with guests and co-workers

• Must consistently maintain a well groomed appearance and hygiene as deemed by management

• Willing to work in a loud environment

• Must be 21 years of age or over

• Ability to work within a team environment

• Must be available to work all shifts; to include Day, Swing and Grave shift

• Minimum three years in the hotel/casino/nightclub industry preferred, but not required

• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times
